About Midnight Cafe
Midnight Cafe is a free, cozy night cafe that runs in your browser. You get a small character, walk around isometric rooms, chat in speech bubbles and build a room of your own. It is made for indie developers, makers and freelancers, and anyone is welcome.
Play free in your browserFree. No download. Guests welcome.

What you can do
Walk, sit and talk
Click to walk, double-click a seat to sit, type to talk. Your line appears above your head and stays in the room.
Visit public rooms
The Plaza, The Coffee Bar, The Cozy Corner, The Reading Nook, The Garden Lounge, The Grand Hall and The Long Bar. The map shows where people are.
Build your own room
Furnish it from the shop, keep pets, hang up pictures and sticky notes, and connect it to a friend's room with a teleporter.
Show your project
Put a project stand with a pitch and links in your room, and let visitors ask questions on a Q&A board.
Play music
A record player plays its discs for everyone in the room. Records range from lo-fi and jazz to bossa nova, and rooms can tune a radio.
Earn beans
Beans pay for furniture, displays and records. You earn them by playing: chatting, coming back each day, placing furniture, fortune cookies and achievements. There are 144 achievements.
Also in the game: friends, trading furniture with other players, dancing and other emotes, bots you can talk to with @, and a barista bot you can hire for your room. A seasonal Halloween furniture set is on sale for a few weeks around Halloween.
