The music

Each room has a record player. It plays the discs in it, in order and on repeat, for everyone in the room. The record shop has lo-fi, jazz, bossa nova and more. Records are paid for with beans, which you earn by playing. In your own room you choose the discs.

Prefer a station? Rooms can also tune a radio to a live station, and everyone in the room hears the same one. The station streams straight from its own server, which the privacy page explains.

The room

The light is warm, the walls are dark blue, and small characters sit on sofas and at the counter. A barista bot stands behind the bar. Music notes float up from the record player.

You can sit quietly and say nothing. You can also type a line, and it appears above your head. Both are fine.

If you want a different mood, build your own room and make it as dim or as busy as you like.
